The journey will start from Rome, hosted in the spaces of the Casa dell’Architettura Supermostra24the exhibition curated by Luigi Prestinenza Puglisi e Ilaria Olivieripromoted with the aim of discover and bring out the interesting things that happenin the different regional areas of the peninsula.
The exhibition-observatory of contemporary Italian architecture will be inaugurated on Thursday 8 March 2024, on the occasion of the “Feminine Visions” conference curated by the OAR Gender Equality Commission to analyze the “footprints” that women, from the 18th century to today, have left in architecture and design.
The title of the project Supermostra recalls, not surprisingly, that of Superarchitecturethe famous exhibition that way back in 1966 in Pistoia presented the work of the very young Adolfo Natalini and Cristiano Toraldo di Superstudio and the equally young architects Andrea Branzi, Gilberto Corretti, Paolo Deganello and Massimo Morozzi di Archizoom.
The underlying desire is the same: present the news of the national architectural panorama. But if Superarchitecture was an event only oneSupermostra was structured to be a constantly evolving itinerant project, with a series of annual events.
After the Roman stage, in fact, Supermostra24 will leave for Tiranawhere on April 29th it will be hosted by the city alongside a selection of interventions carried out in Albania.
In its second edition, Supermostra expands the dotted geography, exceeding the 30 studios involved, with a large female prevalence. Here’s who I am:
