The tourist from Linz was appreciated by passers-by, who gratified him with videos and selfies at full speed
VALDOBBIADENE. To be hot, it was really hot today. Also in the square in Valdobbiadene, the brand new one after the works. So Karl Loizenbauer, an Austrian manager from Linz, who was visiting the Prosecco hills, a Unesco heritage, decided to break the grip of the summer heat with a quite spectacular dip in the brand new fountain in Piazza Marconi.
Fountain which in fact has the shape of a tub (someone in the village had turned up their nose for the too essential design) and certainly lends itself to exploits of this type. A nice run-up and then off: the manager dived with skill and crossed the pool with a couple of strokes, conquering the selfies and the applause of passers-by. Will the municipality turn a blind eye to this blatant violation of the rules? Probably yes. On the other hand, in these parts, tourists are worth like gold (Valdobbiadene counts on 130 structures including agritourisms and agrialloggi, plus hotels, restaurants and bars) and, after the Unesco recognition, the city of Valdobbiadene certainly cannot risk a diplomatic incident with the Austria.
