The Volley summer camp in Valtournenche, at the foot of Monte Cervino, of Alto Canavese volley started last Monday, June 28th and will continue until this Friday, July 2nd. Five days of joint training with the players of Volley Aosta, a First Division formation, without forgetting the transfer market, with the Cuorgnatesi who will be profoundly renewed in the roster next season.

In fact, the goal of the upper Canavese club is first of all to lower the average age of the team, taking it from the current 30 years to 20-21 years, as also explained by coach Fabio Matteotti: “Starting with the players who will also be part of next season of the Alto Canavese volley version 2021/2022 there will be the central Giacobbo, Spinello and Marchese, the opposite Avalle, the Grosjacques gang and the free Randone – explains Matteotti -. Conversely, however, the Bolla and Menardo bands will no longer be at the Alto Canavese volleyball Carlevaris and Bertoni, in addition to the opposite Crosasso and the free Sansanelli. We decided to build a much younger average age team – says Matteotti – and to do this we had to revolutionize our roster. We are very vigilant on the market and at the moment we are looking for a free, a band and a setter: in these hours we have started contacts with many players, now we will have to understand who will do the best for us, also considering the fact that in the next season the the main objective will be to further improve the past season, which ended with the third place in the mini group of six teams and the defeat in the second round of the playoffs – comments Matteotti -. Most likely, however, already by this weekend we should have the official status of the first signings, we now want to carefully evaluate the moves to be made to build a competitive formation that can continue to do well for the third consecutive year in the men’s Serie B ” . –
