VOLTAGO
270 riders, from the few months of Elena Dal Maso to the many but dazzling springs of the stainless Ivo Andrich, challenged each other on Saturday afternoon on the race course which, in Voltago, marked the return after almost 40 years of the “Va pian, ma riva- Memorial Alan Scussel “. A track much appreciated for the places it touched and for the type and alternation of terrain and altitudes on which it developed. The Polisportiva Voltago, organizer of the event, did not expect so many participants and as much public as the one who rushed to the sports field in the country. The 1.5 km race, dedicated to the under 12s, saw Nikolas Bettini (7.33) and Alyssa Friz (8.12) pass the finish line first, who also won the first places in the “Omenet / Femenete” category. Elia Zanatta and Beatrice Carpia won among the “Pitus / Pitusse”, while in the “Picioi / Piciole” category Mattia Canali and Giorgia Bettini excelled. A special prize was also dedicated to the youngest in the race who had completed the course independently: Noemi Venialetti won it. For the youngest in the registry office, Elena Dal Maso was awarded. In the 7 km clear success for the home athlete Gabriele Cossettini (27.39) and for Martina Brustolon (32.55) followed, respectively, by Aron Lazzaro and Daniel Rech and by Alessandra Da Ronch and Emanuela Zaetta. Among the over 50s, Rinaldo Menel and Monica Scussel and, among the Under 18s, Nicola Riposi and Beatrice Colleselli won. The complete rankings are on www.sportdolomiti.it.
«We are really satisfied – say the organizers and sponsors coordinated by Polisportiva Voltago – the event proved to be a real village party and a great moment of healthy sport. Even the parents of Alan Scussel, the young man who died prematurely last year and to whom all this was dedicated, were visibly moved but at the same time happy, especially during the awards ceremony. See you next year with the second edition of “Va pian ma riva”, with even more enthusiasm, fun and surprises ». –
