Silverio Pérez’s 109-year-old father hospitalized, family asks for prayers
The father of musician, writer, and motivator Silverio Pérez, Don Silverio, who is 109 years old, has been hospitalized, the artist announced through his social media channels.
In a message to his followers, Pérez shared, “Dear People: I feel the responsibility to tell you, because of the immense affection you have for him, that my Father has already been in the hospital for 4 days facing very difficult health situations. For now that’s what I can tell you, but tell me that the whole family is united at heart supporting him. We ask for his prayers.”
Don Silverio is set to turn 110 years old on June 19. Last year, for his 109th birthday, the renowned humorist released a book about his father and gave a presentation at the Conservatory of Music.
The book titled “My Father’s Secret” showcases the captivating story of a humble Puerto Rican peasant who has lived in two different centuries and two millennia.
Despite facing health challenges, Silverio Pérez has shown resilience. In the past, he has recovered from a strong fall, and he is also set to undergo back surgery after experiencing other health problems.
Moreover, Pérez, along with Yéssica Delgado, will host a workshop on how to achieve goals, further demonstrating his commitment to inspire and motivate others. The Pérez family appreciates the outpouring of support and requests continued prayers for Don Silverio’s recovery.
