Regarding the declarations regarding the 118 vehicles, it is specified that the statement according to which none of the three SET 118 vehicles (two ambulances and a medical vehicle) serving the territory of the Mirandola District were operational on the morning of Yesterday. In fact, only one ambulance suffered a breakdown and had to be replaced.
Furthermore, it is worth underlining how the entire fleet of vehicles available to the SET-118 territorial emergency service of Modena is organized and managed from a network perspective, and not in watertight compartments located in individual areas of the provincial territory. This management method allows, as happened in Mirandola, to easily deal with breakdowns and the need for ordinary and extraordinary maintenance.
The area was therefore never left uncovered, nor were there any interruptions in service, as in the short period of time (about two hours) needed to get a vehicle to be used stationed in front of the Mirandola Emergency Department, which is still operational, the service was guaranteed thanks to the synergy with the volunteer vehicles, as per the protocol in these cases, providing for the contextual activation of the medical vehicle to support the volunteer vehicles present in the area. This made it possible to ensure the correct safety standards, guaranteeing full continuity of service and total self-sufficiency of the district territorial emergency system.
