Dermosurgery, Molise surgeon patents new device – Medicine

A new device for dermosurgery has been patented by the Molise plastic surgeon Pasquale Fruscella, director of the research center on tissue plasticity. No more pain and perfect bleeding control in outpatient surgery.

The application of the new anesthetic-haemostatic swab, which will be presented at the 42nd National Congress of the Association of Hospital Surgeons (Acoi) in Naples next May, develops anesthesia in a few seconds, stops bleeding and cleanses the anatomical area. The device can also be used in spontaneous bleeding such as nasal hemorrhages where the use of internal swabs will no longer be necessary. In most minor surgery and dermatological surgery procedures, the syringe for local anesthetic infiltration will no longer be used. So, no pain from stings. The instrument is indispensable for surgery on highly vascularized areas, such as the scalp, where it significantly reduces the typical post-operative swelling that spreads across the entire face, deforming its features. The innovative device created by Fruscella, who also patented the motor-driven syringe, breast prostheses that avoid dislocation problems and the blepharostat for orbital region surgery, is also used in combination with new biostimulating threads for skin aging which create new collagen by stretching the skin of the face.
