98 councilors will be at the forefront of community work in the different sectors of the capital of Huila.

In the assembly hall, Mayor Germán Casagua expressed his recognition and appreciation towards the 98 councilors who took office for the period 2024-2027 in Neiva. Under the motto “For the recovery of our municipality, the councilors are a fundamental pillar”, the first president of the Neivans emphasized the vital importance of this group in building the future of the city.

During his speech, Mayor Casagua Bonilla praised the work, dedication and commitment demonstrated by the councilors for the benefit of the Neiva community. He affirmed that his administration will be willing to listen to his proposals and work together to address the challenges and achieve the recovery of Neiva.

Councilors in Colombia are considered public servants for being part of public corporations, specifically Local Administrative Boards. Although they do not hold the status of public employees or official workers, they play a crucial role in representing their communities.
