[New Tang Dynasty News, September 11, 2021, Beijing time]Since the Beijing authorities demanded “20 years of anti-corruption investigation”, the officialdom of Inner Mongolia has continued to be turbulent. On the evening of September 10, the Commission for Discipline Inspection and Supervision of the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region announced that six more local government officials had been filed for review and investigation. Four of them had been expelled from the party and public office, and two had been expelled from the party.

The four officials who have been double-opened are: Zheng Jun, former party secretary and chairman of Inner Mongolia Transportation Investment (Group) Co., Ltd.; Yang Guohong, former member of the Hulunbuir Municipal Party Committee and former secretary of the Hailar District Party Committee; and former member of the Tongliao Municipal Party Committee, Horqin Zuoyizhong Banner Liu Baitian, former secretary of the flag committee; Song Decai, former member of the party committee and deputy general manager of Inner Mongolia Forest Industry Group.

The official report stated: Zheng Jun has lost his ideals and beliefs, is indifferent to political consciousness, is disloyal and honest to the party, opposes organizational censorship, and ignores the eight central regulations.

Yang Guohong lost his ideals and convictions, deviated from the sense of purpose, lacked party discipline and national laws, resisted organizational review, violated eight central regulations, etc.

Liu Baitian lost his ideals and convictions, betrayed his original mission, ignored the eight regulations of the central government, sold officials and selected officials in violation of regulations.

Song Decai lost his ideals and convictions, deviated from his original mission, was disloyal to the party, dishonest, and resisted organizational review; violated the eight regulations of the central government, engaged in money and sex transactions, demanded and accepted huge amounts of property from others, and engaged in money rights transactions.

The other two government officials who were expelled from the party were: Zhao Junsheng, former deputy secretary, general manager, and director of the Inner Mongolia Transportation Investment (Group) Co., Ltd.; and Qin Jinghe, former deputy inspector of the Bayannaoer Municipal Government.

According to the content of the official notification, the charges of the six persons mentioned above are similar.

Since the Beijing authorities called out that the anti-corruption campaign will be “researched for 20 years,” a large number of officials in Inner Mongolia have been dismissed one after another, and even officials who have retired for many years have been investigated. On June 7, the Chinese Communist Party’s official Xinhua News Agency issued an article saying “Inner Mongolia has been investigating coal-related corruption for 20 years. What has been found?” The article mentioned anti-corruption data “700 cases of 987 people have been filed, of which 62 are at the bureau level and at the county level. 227 people” etc.

In addition to the huge greed and giant tigers investigated and dealt with, “small officials and huge greed” have also flooded the officialdom of the CCP. Among them, the Li Jianping case is called “the largest case in the history of Inner Mongolia’s anti-corruption struggle”. Li Jianping, who was the secretary of the Party Working Committee of the Hohhot Economic and Technological Development Zone in Inner Mongolia, was declared dismissed in 2018.

Officials recently disclosed that the amount involved in the case is as high as more than 3 billion yuan (the same hereinafter), which is much higher than the sum of 1.7 billion yuan involved in the case by the former chairman of Huarong Lai Xiaomin and the former secretary of the Shaanxi Provincial Party Committee Zhao Zhengyong.

Xi Jinping has continued to fight corruption in the past ten years after he took office, but the corruption in the officialdom of the CCP has not improved. The outside world has long observed that this is because the CCP’s system has long been corrupted and there is no cure.
