There are 27,162 new coronavirus positives at 16:00 on Sunday 15 May and bring the total, since the beginning of the pandemic, to 8,708,350. The deaths, in the last 24 hours, were 62 so as to total 165,244 units from February 2020 to this part. The currently positives counted in Italy are 998,198 and of these 7,532 hospitalized with symptoms (-118 day on day) and 347 in intensive care (+7). There are 990,239 people subjected to home isolation. This is the picture that emerges following the daily bulletin of the Ministry of Health, elaborated on the basis of 194,577 swabs carried out against the 263,747 on Saturday 14 May. The positivity rate stood at 14%, compared to the figure of 13.7% the previous day.
Lombardy, 3,399 cases and 23 deaths
At the level of the individual regions, Lombardy is once again the one in which there is the greatest increase in daily cases: there are 3,399. In the 24 hours, 23 deaths related to the Covid-19 pandemic were recorded in Lombardy. The currently positive are 134,506 of which 890 hospitalized with symptoms and 38 in intensive care. In home isolation, then, there are 133,578 people.
Campania, the incidence of Covid falls
The second Italian region for the number of new infections remains Campania. Here the incidence rate of Covid-19 drops, on a day in which the Region’s bulletin does not register victims. The new positives are 3,330 out of 21,202 tests examined: the ratio is 15.70%, against 16.98 on Saturday. The occupation of the beds remained substantially stable, 35 in the intensive (-1) and 575 in hospital (+2).
In Lazio 2,943 new cases and 2 deaths
Third place for Lazio, where the new infections were 2,943. At 2 the deaths of the 24 hours. There are currently 145,825 positives from Lazio, of which 798 are hospitalized with symptoms and 51 in intensive care. The subjects in home isolation, then, are 144,976.

There were 36,042 new coronavirus positives on May 14 with 91 deaths in 24 hours. The currently positives counted in Italy were 1,000,788. 340 patients admitted to intensive care, one less than on Friday in the balance between entries and exits. The daily admissions were 40. The hospitalized in the ordinary wards were 7,650, or 257 fewer than the previous day. The people subjected to home isolation were then 992,798.
