UDINE. The outdoor unit of his air conditioner caught fire and, in an attempt to put out the flames with buckets of water, the owner of the apartment was slightly intoxicated. For the investigation of the case he was taken as a precaution to the hospital.
It happened on the afternoon of Thursday 24 February in via Lupieri, in Udine, where on the second floor the Udine firefighters intervened to put out the fire, which originated from probable electrical causes.
The flames damaged part of the wooden roof, but the house remained accessible. The owner, as mentioned, was taken to Santa Maria della Misericordia by ambulance for checks, having breathed smoke while trying to put out the flames. He wouldn’t be in danger of life.
