He tumbles for fifty meters on the Cadini di Misurina, unharmed hiker

The Swedish tourist recovered from the helicopter with his excursion companion

AURONZO. At about 10.30 the Centrale del Suem was alerted by a Swedish hiker, who could no longer hear and see his companion, with whom he was trying to reach a scenic area on the Col del le Bisse in the Cadini di Misurina, along a rocky stretch. While the Dolomiti Emergency helicopter was taking off and a team from the Alpine Rescue of the Guardia di Finanza of Auronzo was sent to the area, the hiker called back saying that he had seen his friend, who had tumbled about fifty meters, but he was fine he was alone a little shaken and didn’t need help.

Given the dynamics of the fall, the air ambulance now on the spot verified the situation, identifying the 32-year-old, however in difficulty, recovering him with a 70-meter winch and transporting him to the Auronzo Refuge, only to be recalled to embark the second tourist as well. Both from the Sentiero Bonacossa towards Forcella Rin Bianco, once they had reached the top of the hill, they had left the track and started to climb, when one of the two had fallen without reporting any consequences.

A team of the Alpine Rescue of the Guardia di Finanza of Auronzo then recovered a 79-year-old from Pieve di Cadore (BL) on the Col de Varda, after she had acquired a probable trauma to her ankle that prevented her from continuing. The woman was entrusted to the ambulance. The rescuers then brought an exhausted 70-year-old couple back to the valley between the Auronzo Refuge and the Lavaredo.
