Over the past six months, as a front-line teacher in basic education, I, together with students and colleagues, have experienced the implementation of the unprecedented “double reduction” policy. There is less homework for students, and off-campus training courses for subjects on weekends and holidays are stopped, and the feeling of exhaustion is relieved… I feel more and more that the children are a lot more relaxed, and the teachers’ educational and teaching concepts are constantly changing. “Double reduction” allows education to better return to the way education itself should be. Continuing to do a good job in reducing the burden of compulsory education has put forward higher requirements and challenges for teachers in the new era.
