“I cannot earn less than 300 thousand pesos”

Verónica Monti, recognized as the ex-partner of the late singer Sergio Denis, is going through a very difficult work and housing situation. The mother of two children, ages 11 and 8, is separated from them due to financial problems and is desperately looking for a job so she can rent a home and reunite with her family.

Initially, Monti lived in a pension due to the lack of resources to rent a house, but they did not allow her to have her children there. Later, he resorted to temporary rentals, but the situation became untenable. In the midst of this scenario, Sergio’s ex-partner made a desperate call for help.

“The month started and rents are up 100%, which is crazy, it’s crazy what’s happening in this country. I don’t ask for more than a studio apartment of 30 or 40 square meters to be with my children, but they ask me for so many conditions and I have no guarantee. I desperately need to live with them, even if I take them to school and look for them, it’s not the same as waking up and going to bed with them. But when the numbers do not close, they do not close, even if I juggle with money,” Monti said in an audio sent to Juan Etchegoyen for Mitre Live.

Monti explained that inflation in Argentina makes it impossible to keep up with his current income and that he is desperately looking for a job that will allow him to cover all expenses. In his own words: “I cannot earn less than 300,000 pesos a month at least, because it is impossible. In addition, I have the entire judicial process paralyzed in the case of the support of my children, which has been in Court 12 for years without progress. There is no justice.”

Denis’ ex-partner hopes to find a direct owner who does not demand so many requirements to rent a studio apartment. In addition, he mentioned several neighborhoods in the Autonomous City of Buenos Aires where he would prefer to settle, such as Colegiales, Núñez, Saavedra, Villa Urquiza and Villa Ortúzar, as well as considering the possibility of Vicente López and Olivos, in the north, where he could find more options economic.

Regarding her current housing situation, Monti said: “Currently, I am living separately from my children because it is impossible at my mother’s house. In addition, we do not have a relationship that allows coexistence due to our differences. I sleep in a pension, but I can’t take it anymore. I want to have a home again. Since I separated from Denis, I have gone through many places, but the reality is that I want a small apartment to be with my children, wake up and live with them, since they grow up very fast and I don’t want to miss this beautiful stage.
