Club Nacional of Paraguay qualifies for phase 2 of Conmebol Libertadores Cup, set to face Atlético Nacional
Atlético Nacional already has a rival in phase 2 of the 2024 Conmebol Libertadores Cup: Club Nacional of Paraguay beat Aucas of Ecuador 3-0 and qualified for the next round. Aucas could not maintain its lead after 1-0 in the first leg and fell at the Arsenio Erico stadium in Asunción. Diego Duarte was the protagonist, as he scored the first two goals, in the 12th and 31st minutes. Rodrigo Arévalo, at 55′, sealed the match and confirmed the classification of the Paraguayan club.
